Jacoby broke his back Thursday in a motorcycle accident on the beach. He is overnighting at the hospital in Dakar, Senegal and is in stable condition as we write. We praise God he wasn’t paralyzed. The doctors found at least one bone chip on the scans and after consulting with a retired CMA doctor from Gabon, we realized the best thing is not to move him by air ambulance at this time to the USA as it is too great a risk for permanent spinal cord damage or paralysis.So, if surgery is deemed necessary, we will go ahead as this is our best option. Please pray that the Lord directs the surgeon’s hands and that Jacoby is calm and pain is managed. Pray against infection.

Wow...can't imagine the emotions, etc going on in your hearts and minds but as you know, God is loving, merciful and had Jacoby's best in mind! Praise Him for this truth! We love you all and will continue to pray today as we did when we heard the news last night!
